Would it be weird to wear boots in the philippines!? ADVICE PLEASE?

when i go there it rains hard sometimes. but is it still hot. can i wear boots even though its hot and raining. I dont want to look TOO MUCH out of place but maybe its just not their style what do you think

I would say that if you are comfortable with YOU wearing boots, then go ahead. Personally, you are in the phillipines, and it%26#039;s going to be hot, and I wouldn%26#039;t want my feet in hot boots. If you want to wear rain boots, great, I%26#039;m sure they have them thehe too. If you%26#039;re thinking black high goth boots, no way, you%26#039;ll look a bit out of place.

Reply:well if your going to a resort then its fine but i dont think most of the locals wear boots or even shoes for that matter. if they have shoes theyre probably some sort of sandal
Reply:Depends on what kind of boots you%26#039;re talking about. If you%26#039;re going to wear the kind that you wear with your regular outfit, then you%26#039;ll be out of place for sure. But if you%26#039;re talking about the rubber boots, it%26#039;ll be ok. Or what you can do is wear the fashionable boots then when it%26#039;s time for you to go outside wear the rubber boots.
Reply:I used to live in Fiji, where its hot all year round, and no matter how much i wanted a pair of boots I knew I%26#039;d just look out of place wearing them. Go for it if you%26#039;re brave enough %26amp; want to stand out. Some of my friends don%26#039;t care what people think %26amp; wear whatever they want to %26amp; they do get strange looks but it doesn%26#039;t matter. As long as the heat doesn%26#039;t bother you......why not?
Reply:I have a friend from the phillipines and she says iw opuld be very strange.You should wear open shoes to let your feet breathe more as it will be very hot.

Reply:Well, I%26#039;m not sure, but I do have a friennd who does have a pair of rain boots. It would be a little strange, but if you would like to try, go ahead. I personally wouldnt do it, because I tried my friends boots once and they were very hot and uncomftable.
