My 54 reg MG ZR has developed a problem. When it is raining and the car is being driven the boot release activates. The boot does not open fully but rattles as you drive along. It only happens in the rain. It has been into the garage twice but they have failed to rectify the problem. What is the solution? Is it something to do with the boot sealant?

Take it to Halfords as i understand that they are now the approved Rover repairers for the UK now that all Rover Dealers have shut down.
