I've always seen uggs as fashion boots, but are they good winterboots?

can they even be used in the rain for that matter?

I am an ugg fanatic. By all means they are definately for fashion purposes. But they are exspecially for fall and are good for winter as well. If uggs become wet they will be damaged but there is protector that helps. I suggest you not wear them on rainy or snowy days inless you have the ones with the rubber sole, which are made for that wheather. Or just purchase two pairs..one for style and the other for bad wheather days that you don't care as much about.
Reply:I bought a pair of tall black uggs yesterday and they are great for cold weather. You have to get a boot protector though if you want to wear them in the rain though. They are greta for the cold but don't wear them in the rain without the boot protector.
Reply:yeh but you HAVE to buy a boot protector spray if i were you i would leave them for cold days!
Reply:You could, but you need the care products or else they get really messed up. I wouldn't recomend it for rain/snow.
Reply:No way! If they get wet in the snow or a lot of salt gets on them they become damaged because of their material. They are more like fall boots but defiantly not winter boots.
Reply:it depends what sort you get,

i got some ugg boots with the sort of foamy bottom and they didnt last 2 minutes in wet and rain of the uk.

But after that I got some with solid, rubbery bottoms and they are great, they lasted a long time and are really nice and warm.

hope i helped. xxxxellexxxx
Reply:They can be used in the rain, they are incredibly warm on the inside and unless you live somewhere in the arctic, they are fine for winter...perfect, id say!
