I'm taking a trip to london and paris in late december, what kind of clothes should i wear due to the weather?

I don't really hve any idea how the weather is in london and paris in late december/early january. is it REALLY snowy there? should i wear a puffy huge jacket or is a wool peacoat sufficent to keep me warm? it would also be nice if you provided a picture of a jacket that is needed from any shopping websites like alloy, delias, nordstrom, abercrombie, forever21, etc. is this jacket, http://store.delias.com/item.do?category... , good enough to keep me warm in london and paris or is it not thick enough? or should it be more big and warm like this: http://store.delias.com/item.do?category... And what kind of shoes should i wear? should i wear rain boots? all i've got are my converses, are those okay?

Both jackets are fine for London and Paris. The first one should be worn with gloves, a scarf and a warm hat or cap, the second one can be worn on it's own.

It also depends what you wear underneath. My London winter coat is like the first picture, but I wear a camisole or t-shirt, and wool or cashmere jumper or turtle neck over those, underneath my jacket. I use to have a parka like the second picture, and for that I only ever wore a t-shirt underneath.

It doesnt really snow in London in December, but it will snow a little in Paris. Bring a small umbrella to London, and as funny as it sounds, some sunglasses to Paris, cause despite the cold, it is often sunny there and the light reflects of the snow very brightly.

Both cities are fairly mild in December, single figures between 8 and 0, with Paris occasionally dropping below zero, but not to often.

As for shoes, the converse should be fine as long as it doesnt rain, but if it rains, there are a lot of puddles around and the water will soak straight through the fabric.

Dont wear rain boots, but see if you can borrow some leather shoes, like skechers from someone, or bring lots of spare socks with you.

But dont worry, unless you'll be spending a lot of time outdoors, walking around, you'll be indoors most of the time, and central heating in buildings in both cities is very hot, so you'll be fine.

Enjoy your trip!
Reply:AWWWWWWWWWW. Well why don't you try only jackets, sweaters.

Its cold in London my friend says.
Reply:London = not much snow, any that lands melts within a few hours in general. Some very strong winds occasionally (tornado ripped up a few houses 2 days ago!) It's cold... about 10*C at the moment. Just wear any decent puffa / waterproof coat and you'll be fine. Definately the 2nd one. Wear leather trainers / something kind of waterproof. Main thing is they should be comfy cuz you'll more than likely be walking all day. Bring 2 pairs.

Paris is generally the same weather as London, sometimes a bit more snow.
