What to wear in London inApril (next week)?

Any suggestions for what to pack for a trip to London? I am wondering what the fashion is like there this time of year. Do people wear jeans? What about going out at night? I have black clogs and Converse for sightseeing, ballet flats for dinner and highheeled boots for going out. I am looking for a warm rain jacket. Will I need a warm coat or will a trench style be warm enough? Hate to overpack, so any help will be fab.

We have seen rain, sleet, sun and snow.

Reply:erm well its bloody freezing ova here at the moment ....we arent aliens every 1 wears jeans!! everything u have sound fine and i sugest a warm coat although i wear a rain mac which doesnt do much 4 me. i think whatevers in fashion were u r will b here 2
Reply:Layers. Jeans are the most sensible and comfy shoes for walking about. Socks will help keep your feet warm, so necessary at this time of year. A T. Shirt, fleece and warm jacket would be ideal.
Reply:Of course people wear jeans....it is cold at the moment but jeans are always good. You will need a warm coat and a raincoat...also warm jerseys and a hat.

Reply:Its horrible cold and wet here at the moment! Layers are the way to go - jeans are fine all day and most places at night too. Remember an umbrella !

Reply:trouble is you can just never be sure what the weather is going to do here at this time of the year. this morning when i woke up the world was covered in thick snow, but lunch there was bright sunshine the snow was melting fast but it was very cold. i would reccomend warm clothes coat gloves etc, and hope you dont need them.
Reply:Everyone wears jeans. Wear skinny jeans for going out and such. Yes you will need a warm jacket/coat because a trench style probably wouldn't be warm enough. The key is layers. Jumpers, scarves, gloves are all a must.





Also, when you pack roll stuff up and sucure with elastic bands and put socks inside shoes etc. to save space. You'll have more space for stuff you dont NEED but have to have.
